Seas the day! - Sweet As!

New Zealand (Kiwis) - "Sweet as" meaning: "no worries" (not a problem).

Australian (Aussies) - "Too easy" meaning "no worries" (not a problem).

So, there is a story to this post... When we first moved to Australia from NZ there was one thing that stood out, the phrase "too easy." We soon learnt that this was the Aussie version of "sweet as," and had no idea that 4 years later we would be living on our boat Too Easy!

At the end of 2016 we were at our friend's birthday party and she couldn't wait to introduce us to her Kiwi friend Rob and his wife Kim. "What part of NZ are you from?" I asked. "Whangarei," said Rob.

I couldn't believe it, out of all the places in NZ we shared the same hometown. The similarities didn't end there! "Where do you live?" I asked. "At Breakwater Marina on our boat," Kim said. This is crazy I thought, we live on our boat at Breakwater Marina too.

What happened next was even crazier! "What is the name of your boat," my husband Warwick asked. "Sweet as," was Rob's response. "What! Our boat is called Too Easy," I exclaimed!

Enjoying our new friendship over a few cold beverages a few weeks later, we also discovered Kim and I share a birthday! Rob and Kim recently purchased a holiday home in Whatuwhiwhi, NZ the same place Warwick spent his childhood holidays. How uncanny! I look forward to finding out what else we have in common.
