People are often surprised when you say you live on a boat. It was always Warwick's dream that one day he would live on a boat, last year the stars aligned and his dream came true. Who said you had to live in a house? I compare our boat to a small, floating apartment but with some added perks.
7 reasons we made the switch from house to boat -
# 1) Living the simple life - We thought we had offloaded most of our stuff, but until we moved onto our boat we didn't realise how much stuff we still had. It was time for another cull!
# 2) The ocean is your back yard - There is something relaxing and calming about living by, or in our case on the sea.
# 3) Living in a prime location - Marina's are often located in prime spots. You can enjoy the benefits without the hiked up prices of property or rent.
# 4) Freedom - If you don't like your neighbours, move!
# 5) Convenience - No packing for a weekend away or extended holiday. Your house goes with you!
# 6) Marina community - One of the best things about living in a marina is you get to know your neighbours, everyone is friendly and looks out for each other.
# 7) Less Housework (my favourite!) - With a much smaller space I can get the housework done in no time.
