during the months from November to April you will need to wear a stinger suit
when swimming outside of lifeguard patrolled stinger nets, located at Horseshoe
and Picnic Bay. Stinger suits can be hired or purchased from various outlets on
the island.

boarding, snorkelling and not to be missed bare-back horse riding in Horseshoe

can get up close and personal with Australia's cute, furry critters.
For the more adventurous you can
explore the island on foot and take advantage of the spectacular, large granite
boulders to take in some of the best views. There is the popular Forts Walk
with stunning 360 degree views, if you keep your eyes open you might be lucky
to spot a koala bear in the wild. Magnetic Island is also home to a large rock
wallaby colony.
